Mother's Day 2010

We had the most amazing weekend with Ali and David and the kids! I got to put the kiddos to bed on Saturday night so that Ali and David could enjoy David's special night worry free of bedtimes. I spent this really swet time with Josh before bed snuggling and praying and I got a big fat kiss on the lips before I left his room. Ben was his usual smiley self and went down to sleep without a peep! :-)

Thank you to Ali and David for trusting me with that task, of course we had no hiccups at all!

Mother's Day was an amazing day today! This morning GianLuca woke us up by reenacting the scene from "Frog & Toad" where Frog tries to wake up Toad for the spring. He knocks on the door real loud and said "Toad, ohhh Toad" and his reply is "BLAH!" -We seem to do this just about every morning lately, such a great book! The boys had gotten me the most beautiful orchid plant and a wonderfully sentimental card - all I could ask for, really!

We went out to breakfast with GramB, Grandpa and Great Grandma. It was a wonderful start to a fantastic day! The food was great and so was the company! Afterward we came home and took Trixie for a walk, it wasn't warm but the sun was shining and that was great! The boys mowed the grass together and I was able to do a little exercise (which greatly helps my mood lately!) and I even got to take a shower and wash my hair. :-)

::::Naptime::::

After we woke up it was straight to dinner with Grandma, GeePaw and Father Maher. Thank you to Father Maher for dinner! We had a lovely time and GianLuca got a big scoop of ice cream! When we came home we took Trixie on another walk around the park which lasted for a good hour. We had one little incident while Luca was trying to pick up the dog poop, he got frustrated and used the hand that wasn't covered with a bag (YUCK!) So after we got washed up at home we eventually made it around the park!

:::Long Bubble Bath:::

 GianLuca is sleeping peacefully and I'm listening to the sounds of my wonderful husband playing guitar while I blog!

What a great Mother's Day! :-)
